These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Almora Brands LLC ("Almora Brands," "we," "us," or "our"), the company behind The Rule brand and the website at shoptherule.com (the "Site"). By accessing our Site, creating an account, or purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or purchase our products.

These Terms include important provisions that affect your legal rights, including a mandatory arbitration clause and a class action waiver. By using our Site or purchasing our products, you agree to resolve disputes through individual arbitration rather than through courts or class action proceedings, except as specifically permitted.

The Rule is a brand owned and operated by Almora Brands LLC, a limited liability company. We sell topical foot care and cosmetic products directly to consumers through our Site.

Pricing
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time you complete checkout. Promotional discounts cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
Pricing Errors
If we discover a pricing error after you place an order — including obvious typos, technical glitches, or system errors — we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund, even after order confirmation. We will notify you promptly if this occurs.
Availability
Product availability is not guaranteed. If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we will notify you and offer a refund or alternative product of equal value.
5. Orders and Payment
Placing an Order
When you place an order through our Site, you are making an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline your order at our discretion. Order confirmation emails do not constitute acceptance — your order is officially accepted only when we ship the product.
Payment Methods
We accept major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other payment methods displayed at checkout. All payments are processed by secure third-party providers (such as Shopify Payments and Stripe). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
Authorization and Charges
By submitting payment information, you authorize us to charge the full order amount, including any applicable taxes and shipping fees. For pre-authorized payments, we may place a temporary hold on your card before final charge.
6. Subscriptions and Recurring Billing
If you sign up for a subscription, you agree to the following terms:
- Recurring charges: Your selected payment method will be automatically charged on the schedule you choose (every 30, 60, or 90 days) until you cancel
- Price changes: We may adjust subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Your subscription will continue at the new price unless you cancel
- Cancellation: You may cancel anytime through your account dashboard or by emailing support@shoptherule.com at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date
- Skip or pause: You may skip a shipment or pause your subscription at any time without canceling
- Failed payments: If we cannot process your subscription payment, we will attempt to charge again and notify you. Your subscription may be paused or canceled if payment cannot be collected
Subscription cancellation is simple. No phone calls. No retention specialists. Cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us. We comply with all applicable state laws regarding subscription disclosures, including California's Automatic Renewal Law.
7. Shipping and Delivery
We ship within the United States only. Shipping times, costs, and delivery details are described in our Shipping Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery to the shipping carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
8. Returns and Refunds
Returns, refunds, and our 90-day money-back guarantee are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Product Disclaimers
COSMETIC DISCLAIMER: The Rule Nerve Comfort Foot Balm is a topical cosmetic product intended to cool, soothe, and comfort tired, achy feet. It is not a drug, and none of the statements on this website, our packaging, or in any of our marketing materials have been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The Rule is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Individual results may vary.
SAFETY ADVISORY: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and broken or irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. If you are pregnant, nursing, have a skin or medical condition, or are taking medication, consult your healthcare provider before use. Keep out of reach of children.
You acknowledge that:
- Botanical and herbal ingredients may affect individuals differently
- The Rule is a cosmetic product for external comfort and is not a substitute for medical care or prescribed treatment
- You are responsible for reviewing the ingredient list and consulting a physician if you have allergies or skin sensitivities
- We make no claims that our products will deliver specific medical or therapeutic outcomes
10. Acceptable Use
When using our Site, you agree NOT to:
- Use our Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or other users' accounts

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without written permission
- Use our trademarks or brand assets in your own marketing or business
- Create derivative works based on our content
- Frame, mirror, or scrape our Site
12. User-Generated Content
If you submit reviews, photos, testimonials, social media tags, or other content related to our products ("User Content"), you grant Almora Brands LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display that content for marketing, advertising, and operational purposes.
You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you submit, and that it does not violate any third-party rights or laws. We reserve the right to remove any User Content at our discretion.
13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
"As Is" Basis
Our Site and products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Almora Brands LLC, its officers, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from your use of our Site or products.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our Site or products shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 6 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you in full.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Almora Brands LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your misuse of our Site or products
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Any content you submit to our Site
15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Mandatory Arbitration Agreement
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from these Terms or your use of our products or Site shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except as expressly permitted below.
Arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will take place in the State of Delaware, or another mutually agreed location. The arbitrator's decision is final and binding.
Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes only on an individual basis. You waive any right to bring or participate in class actions, collective actions, or representative proceedings.
Exceptions: Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access to our systems.
30-Day Opt-Out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@shoptherule.com within 30 days of your first purchase with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
17. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our Site. Your continued use of our Site or products after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our Site or services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms, fraud, or abuse. Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and arbitration) will remain in effect.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Almora Brands LLC regarding your use of our Site and products. They supersede any prior agreements, communications, or proposals.
